What Booklet (Saddle-Stitch) Imposition Means

In saddle-stitch printing:

• Sheets are printed double-sided

• Folded in the center

• Nested together

• Stapled along the spine

Because of this, page order must be rearranged.

For example, in an 8-page booklet:

• Page 8 pairs with page 1

• Page 2 pairs with page 7

• Page 6 pairs with page 3

• Page 4 pairs with page 5

Before imposing:

✔ Your total page count must be a multiple of 4
(4, 8, 12, 16, 20…)
